Dominic Barter, who has been involved in creating Restorative Circles in the favelas of Rio De Janeiro, Brazil since the 1990's, will be in Belfast speaking about his experiences in conflict resolution, gift economics, and community building.

He will also lead two community circles to talk about practical solutions locally, on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2 pm at the Possibility Alliance, 85 Edgecomb Rd. and again on Mon. Oct 2 at Belfast Co-housing, 25 Village Rd. from 5:30-8:30.

Dominic and his colleagues have been successfully using Restorative Circles as a community healing strategy for gang-related conflicts, as well as multiple other settings such as prisons, churches, and hospitals. They will share their strategies for healing divisions, promoting partnership, and increasing social cohesion in our communities.
