Excellent stories on Bangor Ch. 2 at 6pm and 11pm showing reading of names, Dave Mallett, and good interviews. The total running time for the 6pm story was over two minutes, an eternity on television news!
6 pm Ch. 2 coverage
Below is the 11pm news coverage on Ch. 5 and Ch. 2 in Bangor.
Mike Howard is interviewed by Ch. 5, with excellent points on the cost of war.
The Ch. 2 piece is cut a little differently than the 6pm report posted above. Ch. 2 manages to mangle news about the Winter Soldier event, but at least they include a bit of the cell phone conversation.
The teevee stories we got are very good and I thank them from the bottom of my heart for giving peace a chance on television news.
I can’t help but mention, however, that the Ch. 2 reporter has to finish with that Bush says the U.S. is staying in Iraq until the county is “stable.” In reality, U.S. policy, military occupation, and brutalization of the Iraqi people has done nothing but destabilize the country for five years.
