This is the first comment. I like this new theme for the Peace Center site because it is a lot sunnier and does not break down in narrow windows. But can't you guys figure out how to put up some sort of calendar?

The Environment: A Global Overview

It is not difficult to become a believer in global warming. According to the U.S. National Climatic Data Center 2001 was the second warmest year on record and it was the 23rd consecutive year of above normal temperatures.

Please consider another way of solving the money problems without cutting programs. I just recently suffered a serious heart attack and need the help right now since I do not have insurace of any kind and have not since 2004. You know me, I am a sign languge interpreter and founder of the Howard Foundation.

Thank you for your attention on this matter.

Sincerely,

Daniel Williams

In asking people to contribute to the BDN signatory ad that's to be published a week before the End the War! Build the Peace! rally, several people have asked for the wording in the ad. Could you publish that on this website?

"YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH." You protesters can all ******. We live in a world that has walls. And those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You ******** protesters? These men have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for "innocent civilians" and you curse the military. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know: that these deaths, while tragic, probably saved American lives, and the US Military's existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives... YOUR lives you ungrateful son of a bitch. You don't want the truth because deep down, in places you don't talk about at your damnable rallies, you want us on that wall. You NEED us on that wall.
The men and women of the US Armed Forces use words like honor, code, loyalty...they use these words as the backbone to a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to men who rise and sleep under the blanket of the very freedom The military provide, then questions the manner in which they provide it! I'd rather you just said thank you and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand a post.
[comment edited only under "*" by site owner]
