Stop the Longest War: Ending the War in Afghanistan

Teach-In Saturday, October 9, from 1 – 4 PM

at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 120 Park Street in Bangor.

Keynote Speaker will be Jo Comerford, Executive Director of the National Priorities Project, followed by group discussions.

At 4 PM, those who wish will take part in a “Walk for Peace” to Cascade Park (just beyond Eastern Maine Medical Center) to mark the ninth anniversary of the Chain of Concern.

The 20th Annual Harvest Supper benefit potluck will follow at 6 PM, honoring Dud Hendrick, President of Maine’s 001 Chapter of Veterans for Peace with the “Hands of Peace Award“, and Will Whitham, recent graduate of Bangor High School with the “Youth Hands of Peace Award“, and conclude with a talk on Organic Gardening in the Tradition of Helen and Scott Nearing, by Masanobu Ikemiya.
