Seeking HOPE Festival Volunteers, Vendors & Organizations
Organizations, vendors and volunteers are invited to participate in the l6th annual HOPE (Help Organize Peace Earthwide) Festival on Saturday, April 24th from 11 AM to 4 PM at the U Maine Student Recreation & Fitness Center in Orono.
The free festival celebrates Earth Day and our connections to each other. Participants can browse among information tables of more than 60 non-profit organizations that work for social change, attend talks, workshops and demonstrations, enjoy entertainment and a lively, informative children’s program, and purchase delicious locally produced food.
We invite non-profit organizations working for social change to reserve table space to share information and sell items to raise funds. “Green” businesses and local food producers are invited to reserve space to sell and demonstrate their products as well. Call the Center at 942-9343 or go to www.peacectr.org for more information and applications.
The festival is free because many volunteers, including the performers, donate their time, energy and talent to make this special day possible. Volunteers are needed to help with promotion leading up to the festival and especially to set up on Saturday, April 24th from 7:00 – 10:00 a.m., throughout the day on Saturday, and to clean up. Email or call the Center (942-9343) if you can help before the Festival, or on the day itself.
