Do you wish there were more volunteers working with you?  If your job is to recruit and support volunteers, whether you are paid staff or a volunteer yourself, this workshop is designed for you.  You will learn how building a support network will help you meet the challenges of volunteer work.  You will learn ways to find volunteers, help them to get a good start, and help them to maintain and focus their energy toward the good cause of your organization.  You will have the opportunity to meet other volunteer supporters and learn about community and on-line resources to help you in moving forward.

Barbara Kates has over 25 years experience as a leader in community non-profit and advocacy organizations.  She has built outstanding volunteer programs for Families And Children Together, Literacy Volunteers of Bangor, and Maine Foster Parent Association.  She consults with non-profits to help them support leaders, facilitate meetings, and develop programs.
