Legacy - Lyrics by James Olson (Copyright: James Olson, 2006)

Wealth and privilege I’ve always known
Under father’s shadow my aspirations have grown
Now I travel the same road long and black
Head down, stay the course, no looking back

God put me here to do his will
For some people that’s a bitter pill
But history had taught a leader must be strong
I know full well this is where I belong

Search the world for threats to my empire
To Flush them out, hunt them down… to this I aspire
Perhaps they were harmless at the start
But their response to my pursuit justifies the action I take

My vision for this nation must be fulfilled
Even if it means the blood of innocents is spilled
My passion and will remain strong
Even though good intentions sometimes go wrong

War is no time for finesse and subtlety
With a nation at risk who dares argue against me
To build a strong country everybody knows
You’ve got to tear it apart before it grows
